Mark retired from municipal government in 2022 after spending forty-seven years in the Public Works sector. During these almost five decades, Mark acquired an expertise with most facets of Public Works including, facility maintenance, roads and bridges, stormwater, solid waste, fleet management, landscaping, canal maintenance, all utilities water plants, environmental services, capital projects and Incident Commander for emergency services.
Mark spent the majority of his career in the City of North Miami where he started as a general maintenance worker and retired from that city as the Deputy City Manager. He also served the residents of the Town of Davie, City of Oakland Park and the City of Margate. He earned his bachelor's degree in Supervision and Management and also received the PWFL (Public Works Leadership Fellow) which recognizes the highest level of commitment to the Public Works profession. Mark was also honored by being chosen as the 2018 Public Works Director of the Year from the Florida Chapter. He looks forward to continuing to advance Public Works initiatives and education in his role as President.
